Meet Dr. Tariq Sawaqed

A long history of training — and a mission to remove barriers to care
Dr. Tariq completed his first dental degree in Jordan in 2002, earned a master’s in dentistry in 2007, and graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2009. He has practiced in the US ever since.
He dedicates around 10–15 hours each month to continuing education, with a particular interest in digital dentistry and 3D printing — technology he believes will make dental care more accessible, efficient, and reliable.
In 2013 he founded Lakewood Dental of Colorado, where he saw every day how many barriers keep people from getting the dental care that would most improve their lives. Removing those barriers was his focus in establishing Arvada Implants and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. Tariq enjoys time with his wife, Yara, their three children, and their dog, Snowy — and coaching his kids’ soccer teams.
